大榭开发区由本岛和周围13个小岛组成。本岛面积30.84km2，平地面积为16.6 km2；东西宽7.5km，南北长6km。中部是山地，山地面积约14.2 km2，是开发区内石油化工区、港口仓储区与行政商务区、生活居住区的自然隔离带。周围13个小岛的面积总和约为5 km2，其中最大的穿鼻岛面积约为2.16 km2。

大榭开发区属于亚热带海洋性气候，四季分明，舒适怡人。

     Natural Conditions

     Daxie Development Zone consists of Daxie Island and other 13 isles. Daxie Island stretches 7.5 km from west to east and 6 km from south to north. The total area of Daxie Island is 30.84 km2, among which 16.6 km2 is the plain and 14.2 km2 is the hilly land, separating Daxie naturally into petrochemical area, port storage area, administrative and commercial area and residential area. The total area of 13 isles amounts to 5 km2, among which the biggest one named Chuanbi isle is 2.16 km2.

Daxie enjoys sub-tropical marine climate with distinct four seasons and mild temperature.
